Orrick slims down its executive team

June 11, 2013 Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe bids farewell to three high-ranking executives just a few months after the appointment of new chairman Mitchell Zuklie.

The firm is eliminating the positions of human resources officer and knowledge management officer, meaning that Gera Vaz and Peter Krakaur have been made redundant, and at the same time the firm is losing its chief operating officer, Reid Horovitz.

Zuklie has said that Horowitz informed the firm of his intention to leave last year, and that the firm has not yet decided whether to replace him.

This week the firm has also confirmed that it will lay off an additional 21 staffers in records, finance, and information technology, while another 11 positions are moved to the firm’s back office support center in West Virginia.
