Orrick posts 0% retention rate

August 20, 2013 Orrick has revealed a shocking 0% trainee retention rate for its qualifying trainees this September. The five qualifying trainees will miss out on a job offer as a result of the firm’s incorrect growth expectations in London.
According to Roll on Friday, the firm attempted to fudge the figures by combining the figures for fall and spring, claiming an overall 25% retention rate on the basis that the firm offered NQ positions to two out of three spring qualifiers. But since no other firm treats retention numbers in this way, Orrick will be stuck with a zero this time around.
