Walkers boosts Cayman Islands investment team
Walkers has boosted its Cayman Islands investment funds team with the hire of partner Dawn Howe from Maples and Calder.
Howe advises upon the structuring, launch and ongoing transactions for hedge funds and private equity funds. Her practice has given her expertise on cross-jurisdictional and regulatory issues affecting Cayman Islands investment funds, including issues relating to the application of AIFMD and FATCA.
Howe will start out with Walkers' London office, working with managing partner Jack Boldarin and alongside investment funds partners Jasmine Amaria, Anne Forbes-Harper, Hughie Wong and David Brennand. She will later transfer to Walkers' Cayman Islands headquarters.
"We’re particularly pleased to have someone with Dawn’s outstanding reputation join us,” said senior partner Mark Lewis. “She has worked with some of the most senior figures in the investment funds industry who speak in glowing terms of both her legal ability and the quality of her work.’’
