Dentons and McKenna move closer to merger deal

October 31, 2013 Dentons and McKenna Long & Aldridge are currently at an advanced stage of merger negotiations, with the boards of both firms having recommended that the firms combine, subject to the approval of their respective partnerships.

If the merger does go ahead it will create the third-largest law firm - by headcount - in the world, behind DLA Piper and Baker & McKenzie.
Last year Dentons saw its revenue remain steady at $710.5, while profits per equity partner jumped 12.1 percent, and in the same period McKenna increased revenue by 23.4 to $345 million, with profits per equity partner dipping 3.6 percent.
