DLA Piper bolsters leadership team
DLA Piper has appointed new leadership for its Australia projects group and its Asia Pacific banking and finance practice.
The firm promoted Melbourne partner John Gallagher from head of the Melbourne finance and projects team to the national head of the practice group. Taking his place in Melbourne is partner Jane Hider.
DLA Piper has also named Sydney-based partner Onno Bakker as its new Asia Pacific head of banking and finance, replacing predecessor and former Australia chair Tony Holland who has recently joined Gilbert + Tobin’s Melbourne office.
“We are in the process of restructuring and rebalancing our practices in Australia, aiming to realigning the Australian practices with DLA Piper’s business model globally,” said Andrew Darwin, the firm’s former UK head and current Australia managing partner.
