Cravath promotes six to partnership
Cravath, Swaine & Moore has appointed six new partners in 2013, up from five in 2012 and four in 2011.
The new partners are Donald Scott Bennett in the Corporate group, John D. Buretta in Litigation, Ting S. Chen in Corporate, Christopher K. Fargo in Tax, Kenneth C. Halcom in Trusts and Estates, and David M. Stuart in Litigation.
In keeping with past practice, most of the new partners are home grown. The only lateral is John Buretta, who recently joined the firm after ten years at the Department of Justice, but even he was a Cravath associate before he left for government service.
There is only one woman among the six promoted partners.
