McKenna partners nix merger with Dentons

November 28, 2013 The proposed merger between Dentons and McKenna Long & Aldridge has fallen over.

According to reports, management at both firms had recommended the merger, but the proposal didn’t find enough support among partners at McKenna when it was put to a vote.

75 percent of McKenna partners approved the merger, but the proposal failed to reach the two thirds majority when votes were weighted according to their equity interest in the firm. Over at Dentons, the merger was approved by 99 percent of partners.
