US law firms lead the pack on on LGBT work issues

December 11, 2013 The 12th annual edition of the Human Rights Campaign’s latest Corporate Equality Index shows that US law firms are becoming better at tackling discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender employees, with law firms shown as the most represented industry among those participants that received a perfect 100% score.

The has surveyed law firms since 2006. This year, more than 145 law firms, including a majority of the top 200 US firms, participated in the Corporate Equality Index. Of these firms, 81 received a perfect 100-percent score, and another 38 firms received a 90-percent score.

The survey shows law firms improving from last year's survey, when 71 firms scoring the top score of 100 on the index.
