CMS Cameron McKenna considers acquiring Dundas
CMS Cameron McKenna is looking into the acquisition of Dundas & Wilson. According to reports, CMS began conducting due diligence some five months ago, but partners at Dundas & Wilson were made aware of the proposed deal just last week.
The news of the proposal has caused some anxiety in Dundas’ London office, with some fearing that the real estate practice might be the only part of the office to survive a merger.
Dundas & Wilson has been looking for a London merger since May, after reporting a 10.6 per cent fall in turnover from £54.5m to £48.7m and losing a string of London partners. The firm conducted unsuccessful merger negotiations with Bircham Dyson Bell back in 2011.
