Weil Gotshal loses financial regulation expert to A&O
Weil Gotshal is losing the head of its Financial Reform Working Group and Financial Institutions Regulatory Practice, Heath Tarbert, to Allen & Overy. Tarbert has significant government experience, having worked at the White House Counsel’s office, the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel, and the U.S. Senate Banking Committee.
The move comes at a time of upheaval for Weil Gotshal, which has seen a string of partner departures in Texas and Washington DC. Last month the Washington DC office lost three IP litigators to Greenberg Traurig, and earlier this month, the firm lost financial and regulatory services expert Walter Zalenski to BuckleySandler.
