Former Dewey head hired as head legal advisor in UAE

January 3, 2014 The former head of the failed law firm of Dewey & LeBoeuf has been appointed the head legal adviser for the government of Ras al Khaimah in the UAE.

Steven Davis has been accused by many of his former colleagues at the firm for mismanaging operations, offering lawyers pay guarantees that weren’t sustainable. He led Dewey & LeBoeuf from its formation in 2007, after the merger of LeBoeuf, Lamb Greene & MacRae with Dewey Ballantine.
