US firm Husch Blackwell lays off 25 staff
Husch Blackwell has announced that it is laying off 25 staff. The move follows the firm’s merger with Brown McCarroll, and comes after the combined firm reported revenue of $319 million in 2012.
"Our firm, like many of our clients, is being challenged to do more with less," said Husch Chairman Maurice Watson. "Consistent with our commitment to deliver high value service to our clients, we continuously assess our costs with a focus on improving efficiency and quality."
"These decisions, while necessary, are never easy," Watson said. "We appreciate the contributions that these talented individuals have made to our firm, and transition assistance is being offered to them."
