Job cuts affect 30 at Kasowitz Benson
Kasowitz Benson has made around 30 redundancies. Most of the layoffs came from the associate ranks, but the group includes partners, counsel and staff as well.
The firm explained that the cuts were caused by a slowdown in business after a number of large cases stemming from the credit crisis wrapped up.
According to reports the affected people will receive severance of three months of pay, and were asked to leave their offices immediately after the layoffs were announced.
