Two top Chinese firms in merger discussions

March 25, 2014 Top-tier Chinese firms Jun He and Zhong Lun are in discussions about a potential merger, which if successful would create the largest firm by revenue in China.

Combined revenues would stand at RMB1.83bn (£180m), which would put it just ahead of King & Wood Mallesons China, which recorded revenues of RMB1.8bn last year, and Dacheng, which reported revenues of RMB1.6bn.

The negotiations follow a period of rapid expansion for Zhong Lun, which has recently acquired a 22-partner team from legacy Kaiwen.
