Nabarro and Trowers announce low promotion figures
Nabarro and Trowers and Hamlins have announced a relatively low number of promotions in its annual promotions round, with less than half the numbers made up in 2013.
Nabarro made three promotions, with three chaps in London making the cut. Last year the firm promoted eight associates, which some are saying was too many for the firm to comfortably absorb. A spokesman wouldn't comment on this, saying instead: "every year we look at each case for partnership on its own merits. As a result, some years we promote more than others based on whether someone is ready for partnership and where we need to invest."
Trowers, for its part, made up four associates, down from seven in 2013 and 11 in 2012. Two of the four are women and three are based in the Middle East.
The promotions follow low revenue figures and an effort to make redundancies amongst the firm's secretaries.
