Ropes & Gray grows securities enforcement practice
Ropes & Gray has scored with the hire of Marc P. Berger, from the United States attorney’s office in Manhattan. Berger was chief of the securities fraud unit, and has spent most of his 12 years as a prosecutor on the securities fraud task force.
He will join Ropes & Gray’s Government Enforcement practice in New York in July. The firm has now hired 12 former federal prosecutors to join it’s government enforcement ranks in an effort to strengthen its securities enforcement practice.
“Marc is going to help us take our financial fraud investigations and securities enforcement to the next level,” said Josh Levy, a partner at Ropes & Gray.
