Foley & Lardner relocates from San Diego to Del Mar

May 18, 2014 US law firm Foley & Lardner has decided to relocate its entire San Diego office to Del Mar.

Richard Kaufman, the managing partner of the San Diego office, said: “Following a careful analysis of the market and the use of our offices in downtown San Diego and Del Mar, we made the decision to consolidate into a single location at our current office space at 3579 Valley Centre Drive in Del Mar in early December 2013.”

The move follows the shuttering of San Diego offices by Baker & McKenzie and Goodwin Procter in recent years.

Some partners have opted to join other firms rather than leave San Diego, including litigation and dispute resolution partner Michael McCloskey, who joined Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker as counsel, and bankruptcy and finance partners Christopher Celentino and Mikel Bistrow , who left the firm to join Ballard Spahr.
