Holland & Knight launch in Alaska
Holland & Knight are set to launch a new office in Anchorage, Alaska, after hiring a team of eight lawyers and support staff from Patton Boggs. The team was looking for a new home after Patton Boggs dissolved its Anchorage office during its merger with Squire Sanders.
Holland & Knight’s new office office will be led by Walter Featherly, who was Patton Boggs’ managing partner in Alaska.
“There is a growing demand in Alaska for professionals who have the expertise, resources and capacity necessary to meet the sophisticated and complex legal needs of clients in the region,” said Steven Sonberg, Holland & Knight managing partner. “Opening an office in Anchorage with such an outstanding group of professionals will allow us to serve these clients. We also believe the expansion of the firm's energy, tribal and government contracts practices furthers our strategic objectives.” Featherly, who practices in government contracts, will be joined by three other partners: litigators Douglas Serdahely and Kevin Callahan and government contracts lawyer Teresa Ridle.
