Winston & Strawn hires IP expert for Taipei office

June 19, 2014 Winston & Strawn has expanded its Taipei office with the hire of intellectual property expert Horng-Dar Lin from Sovereign Law Office, a law firm that Lin founded.

Lin started out his legal career as a District Judge in Taipei before becoming a senior attorney at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, and then joining Lexcel Partners as of counsel. He was vice-president of Foxconn for more than two years, handling corporate and IP strategy.

“We are delighted to welcome Horng-Dar to the firm,” said John Alison, the office managing partner at Winston & Strawn Taipei. “His decision to join Winston significantly expands our capabilities not only in Taipei, but also for Winston’s intellectual property and corporate practice in Asia and globally.”
