Pinsent Masons elects new Managing Partner
Pinsent Masons has elected a new senior partner for a four year term. The firm’s head of construction, Richard Foley, will take up the role from October 2014, taking over from Chris Mullen who held the role for nine years.
Mullen contested the election against Foley, making it the first contested election since managing partner David Ryan was first elected in 1998. Foley took the win, amidst widespread feeling that a change in leadership was overdue.
Foley has been at Pinsent Masons for 24 years, and was with legacy firm Masons when it merged with Pinsent Curtis Biddle in December 2004.
He headed up the firm’s Asia practice from Hong Kong for seven years, he launched the energy sector practice in 2008, and then led the projects practice.
