Squire Patton Boggs hires, appoints public policy heads
Squire Patton Boggs has announced a string of new hires and new leadership for its public policy practice.
Former Senators Trent Lott and John Breaux will work together to lead the global public policy practice. The two have worked closely before, with their own practice that was acquired by Patton Boggs in 2010. The former chairman of legacy Patton Boggs, Thomas Boggs Jr., will act as an advisor to the group.
Boggs commented on his new role, saying: “The role of a traditional lobbyist has changed. Clients around world are concerned with global regulatory challenges in markets that are following the US model. We are now able to address the needs of clients anywhere government power influences the outcomes of disputes, transactions, regulatory or lobbying matters. I am energized by the strengths we have brought together in this combination, and have no thought of slowing down.”
