Linklaters is the first among the magic circle firms to announce retention figures, and this year’s 93 per cent retention rate represents an improvement of its regular rate of around 85 per cent, which is still above average for the profession as a whole.
Last year Linklaters retained 86 per cent of its spring qualifiers, and the firm hasn’t seen a retention rate of more than 90 per cent since Autumn 2011, when it kep 93 per cent the qualifying cohort.
