Dewey’s ex-chief financial officer, Joel Sanders, and former executive director, Stephen DiCarmine were accused of improperly receiving $21.8 million from creditors when the firm was already insolvent, ahead of its collapse. The money, the trustee said, should be recovered for the benefit of Dewey’s creditors.
Details of the final settlement are not known.
Meanwhile, Mr DiCarmine and Mr Sanders still face criminal allegations tied to the firm’s collapse.
