Chief Exec of DLA Piper adds non-executive role at PE firm

September 30, 2014 Sir Nigel Knowles, chief executive of DLA Piper, will assume a non-executive chairman role at Zeus Capital, a small private equity firm. Sir Knowles does not anticipate a significant time commitment and will continue in his current role as chief executive at DLA Piper until January, when he is slated to become co-chairman of DLA Piper, replacing Tony Angel.

Knowles commented to Legal Week, "I have known people in Zeus and in the private equity space for years. I have always loved the PE world and this keeps me connected with it . It is a wonderful opportunity for me that the firm has agreed I can pursue."
