Mischon schedules elections for previously appointed management roles

October 8, 2014 Later this month, Mishcon de Reya will hold elections for both heads of employment and real estate for the first time. The move comes one year earlier than anticipated and one year following the elected re-appointments of Kevin Gold (managing partner), Nick Davis (head of corporate) and Kas Nouroozi (head of dispute resolution).

Current head of employment Joanna Blackburn has confirmed she will not stand for election. Blackburn is credited with spearheading the firm's move to agile working and 'unlimited' holidays. It is unclear whether current head of real estate, Nick Doffman, will stand for election.

Two appointed heads remain to shift to Mishcon's new election system, family head currently held by Sandra Davis and private client head currently held by executive partner James Libson. The result of this shift will be that Mishcon partners can elect two of its six department heads every two years and a managing partner every three years.
