Skadden hires away Freshfields' insurance head in London
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom have hired Robert Stirling as corporate partner in its London office. Stirling recently was head of the non-contentious insurance practice at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. He dealt with regulations on transactions in the insurance sector and advised on takeovers, private equity investments share offerings and asset disposals.
Skadden, based in the US, wants to enhance its abilities in cross-border insurance transactions. Stirling offers European expertise in that regard. Stirling will join the insurance group at Skadden, which is part of its global financial institutions practice.
