BLP managing partner candidates square off

January 29, 2015 As the term for departing Berwin Leighton Paisner managing partner Neville Eisenberg draws to a close, the first contested election in 16 years for managing partner is in full force, with a vote expected on 3 February. The contest is down to two candidates who will square off in next week's vote.

David Collins, head of corporate and Lisa Mayhew, head of employment, are the two contenders, verified by the firm. Collins has been a partner with the firm since 2001. He became head of corporate in 2013 and at the same time was elected to the firm's board. Mayhew joined BLP in 2010 from Jones Day. Prior to Jones Day she spent eight years at Hogan Lovells. Mayhew became head of employment 12 months ago and was elected to the firm's board two years ago.

Support for the candidates is evenly split.
