German firm launches fifth office in Hamburg

March 4, 2015 German firm Flick Gocke Schaumburg (FGS) announced that it will open an office in Hamburg later this year, its fifth office in Germany. There will be no new hires to open the office. Instead, several partners will relocate to the Hamburg office.

Arne von Freeden and Johannes Baßler, both tax specialists, will lead the operation there. Eventually, the firm expects a total of 20 partners and lawyers to be staffed there and focused on providing tax advice services.

Lawyers from the firm's Bonn and Berlin offices have been servicing Hamburg cases for two years prior to this announcement.
