Linklaters creates new head of global US practice role
Linklaters managing partner Simon Davies has created a new role in the New York office, the head of global US practice. Davies simultaneously appointed Scott Bowie to be the first head of global US practice effective immediately.
Bowie is head of the firms' investment management group. His term lasts four years and he has also been appointed to the firm's executive committee. With his appointment, the firm aims to centralize responsibility currently shared among US partners.
The US practice for Linklaters has 45 partners and 200 lawyers doing mostly corporate, dispute resolution and finance and projects work.
Even with the newly created role, current US practice managing partner Conrado Tenaglia will continue in his role, based in the same office as Bowie.
