White & Case adds new M&A partner in Hong Kong

March 31, 2015 White & Case LLP has added a new partner to its Mergers & Acquisition practice in Hong Kong.

The new partner, Kyungseok — or "KS" — Kim, speaks both English and Korean and is qualified in New York. His expertise is in advising private equity funds, companies, investors and lenders on mergers & acquisitions, cross-border transactions, private equity investments, international joint ventures and general corporate matters.

He also helps Korean firms with their transactions worldwide.

Kim joins White & Case from Linklaters LLP, where he did private equity and M&A work for Korean clients.

According to White & Case, Kim will help build the firm's M&A capabilities in Asia. "We've made significant investments in key jurisdictions, including the UK and Germany to further develop our private equity practice in Europe," says White & Case partner John Reiss, Head of the Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, "and KS will help build our capabilities in Asia, another important market."

"He will be part of a global team that implements innovative transactions with precision and care and is capable of advising private equity firms and other parties at every stage in the cycle – formation, investment, management and exit."
