Reed Smith launches in Frankfurt with newly hired team
Reed Smith will open a new office in Frankfurt, its second in Germany, on 1 June. The office will be opened with a newly assembled team of seven partners, who join the firm from rival firms.
Among those hired are:
Martin Meißner, former Frankfurt head at Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe. A month ago, Orrick announced its Frankfurt office would be closing.
Dirk-Peter Flor and Simon Gottlieb Grieser, both finance and real estate partners from Mayer Brown.
Andreas Jürgens and Volker Kammel, respectively corporate and restructuring partners from Jones Day.
Rolf Hünermann and Octávio de Sousa, respectively compliance and corporate partners from Willkie Farr & Gallagher.
Reed Smith’s new office will be led by current Munich managing partner Stefan Kugler and the office and new team there will offer finance and transactional work.
