EY appoints two Addleshaw Goddard partners
EY Law has hired two accomplished partners from Addleshaw Goddard in Manchester to try and build a legal services offering there. Former Addleshaw managing partner Paul Devitt and senior corporate partner Richard Thomas join EY as partners. Devitt stepped down from his role as managing partner in March 2014, one year before his term was scheduled to end
EY has been aggressive recently in building up its practice in the UK. Earlier this month the firm hired a team in London to launch a financial regulatory practice. The team included partners from Baker & McKenzie and Weil Gotshal & Manges.
EY now has 25 people in its legal services business in the UK.
