Allen & Overy to take trainees in Middle East in 2016
Allen & Overy will begin accepting trainees at its Middle East office in the year 2016 and thereafter. Anywhere up to three trainees may join the firm each year in the region. They will spend at least six months of their two year traineeship working at the firm’s London office as well.
The firm is looking for final-year undergraduates or else law graduates for its traineeships, a difference to typical recruitment period in the UK, where candidates are often in their second year at the time.
A&O, which has had a presence in the region since 1978, is not the first firm based in the UK that will trake trainees in the Middle East. Clifford Chance last year accepted three trainees while Pinsent Masons last year accepted four.
