King & Wood Mallesons gains and loses PE partner
King & Wood Mallesons’ private equity practice saw the simultaneous loss and gain of a partner this week. London-based Simon Fullbrook is moving to Goodwin Procter, following in the recent footsteps of former KWM corporate co-head Richard Lever, who departed the firm earlier this year to launch a private equity practice at Goodwin Procter.
Fullbrook is a debt finance partner who has focused on sponsor-side leveraged finance. He became partner in 2012 at KWM legacy firm SJ Berwin.
At the same time of his departure, Laura Brunnen will join the firm, hailing from Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson. Brunnen became partner at Fried Frank in 2011, where she worked the past six years. Before she joined Fried Frank, she was a senior associate at Kirkland & Ellis for two years.
