Clyde & Co plans to offer domestic service in Middle East
Clyde & Co is planning to enhance its international offering by moving onshore in Dubai and Qatar. The firm would like to expand from its current offshore capacity to introduce domestic dispute resolution services in both countries.
Apparently, negotiations to assemble a team are underway and an announcement regarding the new offering could be expected sometime in the fall of 2015. One potential entryway would be a merger with a Middle Eastern firm. A likely scenario in Qatar is for the firm to recruit lawyers it has done business with previously.
The firm recently made up five partners in Dubai as part of its annual promotions round. Three of them were in the firm’s disputes resolution practice.
