Former US Attorney General returns to Covington

July 7, 2015 Former US Attorney General Eric Holder will return to his former firm, Covington & Burling after six years in public service as the leader of the US Justice Department. Holder will join the firm as a partner in September and will be based in the firm's Washington, D.C. office.

Holder will practice mainly on complex investigations and litigation matters such as regulatory enforcement and substantial reputation concerns.

Before his earlier time at Covington, Holder was deputy attorney general under the administration of former US President Bill Clinton. He was once associate judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, a post he was appointed to by former US President Ronald Reagan in 1988.
