Paul Hastings takes nine from Ashurst
Ashurst and headed to Paul Hastings, including former Ashurst co-head of securities and derivatives Scott Faga and US managing partner Eugene Ferrer. The team will build Paul Hastings structured finance capabilities in New York and Washington, D.C.
Faga and Ferrer came together to Ashurst in 2009 when it opened in the United States. They joined Ashurst from McKee Nelson, a former ally firm of Ashurst.
Faga mainly works for underwriters and collateral managers in collateralized loan obligation transactions. He also works with banks and financial institutions on a variety of structured finance and regulatory matters.
Ferrer similarly practices in securitization and structured finance. He focuses on structured credit products and collateralized loan obligation transactions.
The rest of the team joining the two partners are of counsels Nicole Skalla, Brian Whaley and Mary Kathryn Lee as well as associates Nicole Bright, Braden Hasnay, Melissa Wollis and Boris Volodarsky
