Clyde & Co merging with Simpson & Marwick
Clyde & Co is merging with Scottish firm Simpson & Marwick, effective 1 October. The combined firm will generate £420m.
The new firm will operate as Clyde & Co and brings seven offices in Scotland and England to the brand. It will be the first time Clyde & Co will have a base in Scotland. Additionally, the merger will boost Clyde's insurance litigation offering.
The merged firm will have 360 partners, 1,800 legal professionals and close to 3,000 staff in 45 locations around the world. Current senior partner James Burns will remain in his role after the merger.
Simpson & Marwick has 45 partners and posted revenues last year in excess of £28.5m.
