Fasken Martineau consultation may cut 70 jobs
Fasken Martineau is conducting an internal consultation that may result in up to 70 positions at the firm's London office being eliminated. The office currently has 22 partners and it is believed as many as 20 may be in line for elimination, pending the consultation's results.
Back in 2006, Fasken Martineau merged with legacy firm Stringer Saul, a life sciences firm based in London. Fasken Martineau, headquartered in Canada, through the merger, created a £110.7m firm boasting offices in London, Canada, New York and Johannesburg. It appears that the majority of the partners in the London office are legacy partners from Stringer Saul.
