Gordon Dadds acquires JGR through administered sale
Gordon Dadds has swooped in to acquire failing firm Jeffrey Russell Green (JGR), following a pre-pack administration. The acquisition will create a full service firm that generates £30m in annual revenues.
As the deal is constructed, most of the directors at JGR will come over to Gordon Dadds as partners, transferring with them their clients and practices. Many support staff members will not receive jobs after the merger, but are apparently receiving assistance in finding new positions.
Nigel Frost and Andrew McCallum, two solicitors at JGR, left the firm following the administration but before this acquisition. They moved to Keystone Law, a dispersed law firm.
Gordon Dadds is no stranger to such acquisitions. In late April last year, the firm acquired failing firm Davenport Lyons, before that firm's accountant was even aware that the firm had entered administration. Gordon Dadds also acquired London firm Harris Cartier in 2013.
