King Wood & Mallesons loses partner to Ashurst
King & Wood Mallesons will see one of its long time colleagues depart its Hong Kong office. Senior corporate partner Joshua Cole, who has been with the firm virtually his entire career, is moving to Ashurst.
Cole joined legacy firm Mallesons Stephens Jacques in 1996. He became partner in 2008. Cole is recommended by the Legal 500 for corporate M&A. His practice specialises in international acquisitions, joint ventures and disposals, working across several industries such as energy, telecommunications and financial services.
For KWM, it is another hit in a spate of departures in the last few months. Heavyweight Simon Milne and veteran David Bateson left their positions in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, in London, big names including Giles Bavister, Ray Black, Gregg Beechey and Simon Fulbrook all moved on to new firms.
