Ince & Co Singapore managing partner dumps firm
Ince & Co in Singapore is leaping over to Reed Smith, leaving behind his post as managing partner. Although Lovell's departure date is not yet known, Ince appointed shipping disputes partner John Simpson yesterday as its new managing partner in Singapore.
Lovell is not the only partner going to Reed Smith. Ince's alliance partner since 2011, Incisive Law, is also losing its joint managing director Mohan Subbaraman, who joins Lovell at Reed Smith.
Reed Smith launched in Singapore in 2012 with two partners it hired from Holman Fenwick Willan. It staffed the office with more lawyers it relocated. Today, the office has grown to a lawyer headcount of 19, nine of whom are partners.
