Dentons expanding Pacific reach with three-firm merger
Dentons has announced that it is merging with two firms that will expand its Asia Pacific reach. A deal has been made with Australian firm Gadens and Sinagporean firm Rodyk & Davidson. The partners at each firm will vote on the deal in the coming weeks.
If approved, the deal will add more than 500 lawyers from Gadens and 200 lawyers from Rodyk & Davidson to Dentons. It would be Dentons' first foray into the Australian market. Because of its Swiss Verein structure, the firm does not expect to meet any issues complying with regulatory matters in either jurisdiction.
Gadens has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Singapore and Port Moresby. Rodyk & Davidson has an office in Singapore as well as resources based in Shanghai.
