Ince & Co Singapore loses another practice head
Ince & Co Singapore is enduring a string of departures, it’s latest the firm’s energy head Martin David. David is departing the firm to join Baker & McKenzie as a partner the firm’s Singapore energy practice.
The news hits fresh after the departure of the firm’s Singapore managing partner, Richard Lovell, in addition to the head of its local alliance firm, Mohan Subbaraman. The pair left to join Reed Smith and left behind a vulnerable alliance, as more exits are anticipated in their wake.
David’s practice speciality focused on projects and project finance in the onshore energy and infrastructure sectors. Ince & Co’s energy practice meanwhile dealt more in the offshore energy sector. David is a qualified engineer and has more than two decades of experience advising on private and public construction and infrastructure projects.
David was at Ince for 18 months. Prior to that stint, he was managing director at DLA Piper Singapore for nearly three years. He spent 13 years at Linklaters before that, where he made partner.
