Winston & Strawn strengthening London team
Winston & Strawn has made a small flurry of hires, strengthening its corporate and finance practice in London. The firm managed to lure finance partner Rebecca Finn from Gide Loyrette Nouel and partner Paul Amiss from Pinsent Masons. Along with them, the firm has picked up of counsel Jason Parker from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.
Finn had been the leader of Gide's finance practice while in Hong Kong. She supports borrowers, sponsors and financial institutions, both convential and multilateral, such as the International Finance Corporation.
Amiss joined Pinsents in 2004 before being made a corporate partner in 2011.
Winston's hires come after some speculated this summer that the firm would refocus itself around transactional matters, departing from its traditional focus on litigation. These hires may be reflective of such a shift.
