Paul Hastings hiring spree lands third partner in a week
Paul Hastings made a third partner hire late last week, recruiting corporate partner Bernd Meyer-Witting from Clifford Chance in Frankfurt, Germany.
Meyer-Witting's practice is centered around merger and acquisition work in the telecoms, media and energy industries. He has acted throughout his career for private equity firms making German acquisitions. Meyer-Witting also served on the partnership council at Clifford Chance during the 2000s.
Meyer-Witting will be the seventh partner in the Frankfurt office of Paul Hastings. His hiring comes on the heels of two hires this week, Linklaters' finance veteran David Ereira and Berwin Leighton Paisner structured debt and capital markets head Paul Severs.
Paul Hastings, a US firm, passed the $1bn revenue mark in 2014. Since then, the firm has been recruiting more aggressively throughout its practices. The firm has said that it plans to double its London office to 50 partners by the year 2020.
