Parabis administration completed
Parabis Group was completed yesterday, with most of the business units being acquired by a consortium led by the founders of Plexus Law. Lyons Davidson and Carpenters Law also acquired pieces from the administration. Prior to the administration, Parabis had been in talks to sell Plexus to Keoghs, but the talks broke down.
The consortium has acquired Plexus and its 2013 merger partner Greenwoods, the consumer business of Cogent Law and Parabis Claims Solutions, a claims management company. Lyons Davidson acquired the claimant law business of Cogent Law and Parabis' "Saga Law" service line. Carpenters Law acquired a separate piece of Cogent's claimant business.
The consortium that purchased the main pieces in the deal has a management plan in place. Former senior partner Andrew McDougall will serve as CEO for Plexus Law Limited. Parabis Group commercial director Tim Roberts will serve in the same capacity at Plexus. Partner Hilary Yeo will be operations director and Nick Addyman takes over the consumer law division. The other practice heads will continue in their roles.
