Dentons racks up fifth merger on the year
Dentons has confirmed it will enter into its fifth merger in 2015, this time with Luxembourg firm OPF Partners. The merger will take effect the first day of the new year and will bring one of Luxembourg's larger independent firms to Dentons. OPF Partners is home to 34 lawyers, nine of whom are partners.
Dentons previous mergers this year included its merger with Chinese firm Dacheng, US firm McKenna Long & Aldridge, Australian firm Gadens and Singapore firm Rodyk & Davidson. Dentons also launched offices in Johannesburg and Milan as well as absorbed a White & Case office in Budapest with 50 lawyers.
The firm asserts now that it has a presence in 19 of the top 25 financial centers of the world. The firms strategy with the plethora of mergers is to bring firms that are well connected to their markets under Dentons fold.
