Merger set for Irwin Mitchell and Thomas Eggar
Irwin Mitchell and Thomas Eggar have announced they will merge, leading to a firm generating a combined £250m in revenues and home to over 270 partners.
Irwin Mitchell has 11 offices throughout the UK. Thomas Eggar will add six offices through the deal as well a presence outside of London in the south east. The merged firm will pursue growth particularly in the areas currently operating at Thomas Eggar. The firm add expertise in retail, financial services, technology and media and manufacturing sectors in addition to diversifying Irwin Mitchell's corporate, employment, litigation, banking and intellectual property law practices.
Irwin Mitchell previously acquired Berkeley Law, a private client firm, as it expects to grow its private wealth offering. Both Berkeley Law and Thomas Eggar will be rebranded in the first half of next year as Irwin Mitchell. The managing partner of Thomas Eggar, Vicky Brackett, joins Irwin Mitchell as a member of its executive board.
