Linklaters brings Shearman private equity partner on board
Linklaters has boosted its private equity practice with the hire of Ben Rodham, a private equity partner from Shearman & Sterling. Prior to his time at Shearman, Rodham was a managing associate at the magic circle firm.
Rodham first departed the firm to join Addleshaw Goddard three years ago as a partner. Later in October 2014, he moved to Shearman.
The private equity practice at Linklaters endured a setback in September when practice head Roger Johnson departed the firm for Kirkland & Ellis. It was the fourth time a Linklaters partner had moved to Kirkland. The firm has lost talent from several practices in recent history, causing the firm to consider changes to its lockstep. The changes were voted down by partnership recently, however.
